Update:  September 25, 2020

Statewide Recall efforts have grown considerably.  Signature counts continue to break internal records daily and more mail keeps pouring into our mail room.  Due to the amount of mail we are receiving, we have opened a second mailroom to handle the additional volume.

Take Note, the secretary of state website does not reflect the number of signatures we have received.  This is because all petitions are currently being sent to a third party vendor for validation and safe keeping. Although we are making great strides, the game is not over.  We need everybody who is willing and able to help us gather more signatures, time is ticking. please SIGN, CIRCULATE AND DONATE:

The CA GOP has officially endorsed this recall effort.  Earlier in the week Guest speakers CA GOP Chairwoman Jessica Patterson, along with Darrell Issa joined Lead proponents Mike Netter and Orrin Heatlie on the weekly recall town hall. You can view a recording of the town hall at this link: VIDEOS | RECALL GAVIN  If you would like to join into our town hall, please enter your email on our website here, under the stay connected tab, so we can send you a reminder with the link to join the meeting.

The Libertarian Party has also endorsed this recall effort.  Members of the Libertarian Executive Committee will be guest speakers on next weeks town hall.  Sign up to the website to stay informed and up to date on current recall events.

Update: August 3, 2020

We are working towards our objective of 2 million signatures and we are getting closer to our goal!
We’ve hired a third-party vendor to verify signatures and hold the signed petitions for safe keeping in light of many registrar’s offices being closed to the public; some are not even accepting signed petitions, except by mail.  This is not acceptable, and we are working on a solution. We will not be making the regularly scheduled signed petition deliveries with the registrar until this is resolved. We will be updating our preliminary count once the professionals have completed the process.
The volunteer coalition has grown from 50,000 members at the start of this recall in June to over 105,000 volunteer members today.  If each of those members were to gather just 20 signatures, this recall will qualify for a special election to be held.
Your donations are critical to the success of this movement.  Every bit helps.  Whether large or small, please donate today if you can afford to do so.
Please sign, circulate, and donate!  If you live in California or have business or family here, you cannot afford to sit this one out.
The most current “Official Top Funder” form is required to be displayed while circulating.  It has been updated for August.  You can find the form at https://recallgavin2020.com/officialtopfunders.

Thank you in advance for your help and contribution in this cause.

Update: July 16, 2020

Thanks to YOU, to-date we have submitted more than twice as many petitions as the previous effort at this point. Momentum is building. BEWARE: Recall “petitions” on Change.org are not valid. Only petitions that are printed and have original signatures in ink are accepted by the California Secretary of State, and the ONLY valid petitions are right here.

Let’s keep up the momentum!

Key points:

  1.  Anybody can circulate this petition. It is as easy as A. B. C.
    A. Download and print the petition,
If printing the larger form, (DOUBLE CHECK MARGINS FOR CORRECT PAPER SIZE) be aware you may have to adjust printer settings when printing the larger forms. Top margin should be just over an inch, the right and left margins should be just over ½ an inch.  The boxes to the right of the signature lines should be an inch wide on the inside.
    B. Circulate the petition and fill out the declaration.
    C. Turn the form in. Forms may be turned in to your County Coordinator, listed under the (COUNTY info) tab. Or mail the Forms in to the address listed on the bottom of each form, that address is:
Recall Newsom, PO Box 417030, Sacramento, CA 95841

Please read the instructions prior to circulating.

  1. The “Official Top Funder Form” does need to be displayed while circulating. The form is mostly blank because there currently are no sponsors who qualify. The form is found under the (ABOUT US) tab on our website:
  1. Weekly Virtual Town Halls are held each Wednesday at 6:45, hosted by the lead Proponent Orrin Heatlie, facilitated by Dr. Cordie Williams, with speakers Steve Frank and Tom Del Beccaro of CaRevival.com and special guest appearances. Enter your email under the (STAY CONNECTED) tab to be sent important updates and information.
  1. It is important that people enter their daily signing events into the website at the following link, so others in your area will be able to find them. https://recallgavin2020.com/submit-your-signing-event/
  1. It is also very important that businesses willing and able to carry the petition register their information into the website, so others in the area will be able to find them.
  1. Remember, a battle worth fighting requires funding. This movement can only succeed if we all do our part gathering signatures and help fund the fight. Please Donate today and again when you can.  Every donation made to this website goes directly to the recall effort.  The recallgavin2020 team are all volunteers and there are no management expenses.  You may make donations at:

From all of us at the recallgavin2020.com team, we want to thank you for helping in this effort.

UPDATE: June11, 2020

CALL TO ACTION: The petition to recall Governor Newsom was given approval by the Secretary of State, to begin circulating June 10, 2020 at 5:27 pm pst.  We now have just 160 days to gather 2 million signatures and we need your help to do that.  This is a monumental and historic challenge we have ahead of us and time is not on our side. We must ban together quickly and pool our resources in order to make this happen.  We need your help and not one of us can afford to sit this one out.

UPDATE: June 6, 2020

Our team is working double time to bring you what we all want, the RECALL PETITION. The petition will be available very soon. We expected to have it available yesterday, but the Secretary of State had other plans. We share your frustration! They can not delay this any longer and we anticipate final approval in the very near future. PLEASE, enter your email with our website and you will be given an ALERT the minute it is approved, along with a printable PDF of the petition form itself.

Please share this information with all your contacts. Tweet it out, text it out, post it and email it.

UPDATE: May 22, 2020

The RecallGavin2020 team has been working behind the scenes to get this job done.

  • All required paperwork has been submitted and accepted by the Secretary of State.
  • Clock Starts once the initial paperwork is submitted. There are timeline requirements.
  • A request was made to the Secretary of State to postpone the recall timeline due to Covid 19 shutdown.
  • Request was denied by the Secretary of State.
  • Our petition is now pending approval. It will be approved when our petition forms comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • The Secretary of State sent a list of revisions we had to make to bring petition into compliance.
  • The petition corrections will be submitted for approval. Our team is confident all wrinkles will be ironed out and the forms will be accepted.

We anticipate circulating in early June. Get ready!

Crowd Source Fundraising is picking up. Major donors will commit resources when they see our campaign is off to a strong start. Meanwhile we have raised over $16,000 in grassroots donations. All donations are appreciated!

UPDATE: March 1, 2020

While the recall of Governor Newsom is monumental, it is NOT impossible. Please keep in mind, it took THREE attempts to recall Gray Davis!

While our first attempt at a recall did not succeed, our efforts were not in vain. Every one of you, who put their heart and soul into this day in and day out did an amazing job and should be commended. People joined forces up and down the state. They worked long hours in all kinds of weather together and formed friendships with one another. They chipped in their own money to pay for supplies and made personal sacrifices to do what they knew was the right thing and needed to be done.

Building on everything we’ve learned in this first attempt, a group of very skilled and talented people have come together to form an independent alliance in order to take the necessary steps to launch a successful campaign to recall Governor Newsom. We expect to begin circulating petitions this spring.

The previous reasons to recall and replace this governor have not gone away. New reasons emerge every day.

If one attempt falls short of the objective, it’s important to learn from that experience, develop new strategies and overcome those obstacles, so the next effort will succeed!

On February 13th new paperwork was submitted to the Secretary of State to try again to recall this governor. There will be a short review period between the time it was submitted and the day the petition is approved for circulation. This (right NOW) is our planning and preparation period. There are things YOU can do during this time to help.

1. Visit the web site (RecallGavin2020.com) and log in.

2. Identify permanent signing locations in your community and list their location details.

3. Donate! Donate NOW, because the sooner we can build our war chest, the earlier we will be able to begin advertising on billboards and radio. This is crucial. The mainstream media are NOT our friends. They will not cover our story, so we will have to inform people in other ways. While our management team can facilitate this effort, we need your help to finance it.

On February 14 (RecallGavin2020.com) went live and the second Recall Gavin 2020 movement was underway. Our success depends upon our resolve. If we “the people” want it to happen badly enough, if we are truly resolved, nothing can stop us. To do this, we need to pool our resources. We need to unify our forces and we need to do everything in our power to make this happen. As we have learned, time is not on our side. We need to work together and move swiftly, with decisive action.

Below is a short list of things we will be doing different this time, which will help our success.
