(Los Angeles, California) The official Recall Campaign against California Governor Gavin Newsom has now gathered 1,308,211  signatures it was announced on Sunday, January 31.

The announcement was made by Orrin Heatlie, the Chairman of The California Patriot Coalition, Recall Gavin 2020 Committee. The official organization and only group authorized to speak on behalf of the effort.

“Let us be clear, the People of California are the driving force behind this recall campaign against Governor Newsom. They lost faith and have no confidence in his ability to lead. With just 6 weeks to go, I don’t want to become overly confident. There is still a lot to do,” said Heatlie.

Recall organizers have a mandatory deadline of March 17 to collect 1,495,709 million valid signatures that will automatically trigger a Special election.

“It is now a numbers game. It is not a matter of IF we will have enough valid signatures collected it is a matter of WHEN we will cross the finish line,” said Randy Economy, Senior Advisor and official spokesman for the RecallGavin2020 campaign.

“We have thousands of amazing, dedicated volunteers who are the heart and soul of our campaign, the RecallGavin2020 team is changing the political landscape in California from this day forward,” said Mike Netter, a lead proponent of the campaign.

The California Patriot Coalition/Recall Gavin Newsom 2020 is the official committee responsible for the recall campaign.

It is being reported from several major media outlets that California Governor Gavin Newsom will possibly be ending his economic death grip on tens of thousands of businesses on Monday by lifting the stay-at-home order.

In a statement, Orrin Heatlie, the Lead Proponent of the official recall campaign against Governor Newsom ( said the following: “The recall effort against Governor Gavin Newsom has reached critical mass and continues to build momentum. So, he’s now taking steps to loosen the screws on those held captive to maintain what grasp he still holds on the state.”

What is really going on?  One day there is a new highly contagious strain of the virus and cities are placing signs to warn people when they are entering a “COVID hot zone”. The next day the stay-at-home order is lifted. The people need clear leadership to rely on during a crisis and Gavin Newsom just doesn’t offer that.”

Fellow proponent Mike Netter added, “Public sentiment about the decision has been mixed as reflected by people on both sides of the issue reacted to the news on Twitter this morning.

Tiffany Tweeted, “Basically Newsom is afraid of the @recallgavin2020 and is lifting the stay-at-home order to save his own political career.  It’s the right thing to do for the wrong reasons.”

Naomi tweeted, “We were right again. I voted for this admin, but the politics of this move are so shameless, the economic devastation so heartless.”

Mike concluded, “Nobody seems to think the matter is being handled properly.”

Los Angeles, CA:  On Sunday, January 24, 2021 the Los Angeles Times published a news article “Recall Newsom effort has ties to far-right movements, including QAnon, and virus skeptics.”

With the recall gaining steam and 1.2 million signatures already gathered, some in the press have launched a campaign of their own to smear and attack individual recall volunteers.

The Los Angeles Times has sunk to an all-time low in its bias coverage of the official recall campaign, to create a divisive and polarizing narrative. The article is an obvious attempt to stifle progress, distract the public and bully others from getting involved.

Good, hardworking and dedicated volunteers from all walks of life, political backgrounds and socio-economic levels are laser focused on the task at hand, and that is the successful removal of California Governor Gavin Newsom from office in 2021.

Such biased journalism that was authored by political activist reporters Anita Chabria and Paige St. John is harmful to the democratic process in which people are merely exercising their rights guaranteed them by the constitution.

Californians from all walks of life have signed the petition for personal reasons of their own, which have nothing to do with the personal beliefs of any individual member. This movement is about bad policies and fixing a broken system, not individual personalities. When successful, the recall will trigger a special election later this Summer and Californians will have an opportunity to choose a new Governor. is a peaceful, nonpartisan movement and has many active volunteers. Everyone involved is entitled to their own personal opinions, that is what a Democracy is all about.  We decry all aspects of racism and hate.  We denounce any individual or group who engages in acts of violence, vandalism, or make threats on any level.

Randy Economy, Senior Advisor,

The official recall effort against California Governor Gavin Newsom reached a major milestone on Thursday (Dec 10, 2020) when they were notified by California Secretary of State Alex Padilla that they have collected and met the 10 percent threshold of signatures requirement per state election code.

This now mandates that registrar recorder officials in every county in California must begin hand verifying every petition that has been collected.

The campaign is also announcing that they have also collected more than 800,000 signatures that have or are in the process of being hand delivered to county election officials throughout California.

1.5 million verified signatures are required to trigger a special election to recall Newsom.

In an email from Robbie Anderson with the Secretary of State’s office in Sacramento to Orrin Heatlie, the Lead Proponent of RecallGavin2020:

“I thought you would like to know that the 10% threshold has been met by you and your team, so counties are now required to verify the signatures,” Anderson wrote.

Heatlie issued the following statement regarding the milestone:

“Today our efforts to Recall California Governor Gavin Newsom have entered a dramatic new phase, and we cannot be prouder of everyone who is working tirelessly to remove America’s worst governor from office,” Heatlie said.

“The campaign is full speed ahead. To date, our amazing team of volunteers have gathered about 800,000 signatures from California voters throughout the state. That is an incredible feat, given the pandemic shutdowns, the wildfires, searing summer heat, riots, and horrible smoke,” Randy Economy, Senior Advisor for said in a statement.

“This is the greatest grassroots movement in the history of America, and the People will be heard in 2021,” added proponent Mike Netter.  “We are taking back our state,’ he added.

Critical Update October, 24th

Critical UPDATE: from Lead Proponent Orrin Heatlie and the RecallGavin2020 team (October 23, 2020):

The RecallGavin2020 legal team, (the Benbrook Law Firm) has filed for an extension to continue gathering signatures.  The hearing date is Nov. 6th at 11:00 a.m.  This hearing is public and will be broadcast on the following link:

Since its conception, the RecallGavin2020 team has been working hard to do everything in our power to help you make this recall a success.  As you may know, this is a monumental and historical movement. This is the largest petition drive ever attempted in the United States history.  It was timed to take advantage of the warm summer months, festivals, carnivals, county fairs, 4th of July events, concerts in the park and other gatherings where people come together in mass. What happened next?  Governor Gavin Newsom shut down California and closed us out.  We can’t even sing in church and now he wants to limit our family gatherings.

People are suffering.  The shutdown has taken a toll on the entire population.  People have been afraid to interact with one another.  Californians are struggling.  Signing a petition and making a donation to a political cause has not been top priority on their list.

STILL, the RecallGavin2020 volunteer army has done an amazing job.  Without the help of contract circulators, they have managed to gather a third of the petitions necessary to qualify for a special election.  The people engaged in this recall are a force to be reckoned with.

We all know a lot hinges on this hearing.  We simply need more time.  Earlier this year the courts granted extensions to other initiatives circulating petitions and the attorney general posed no objection.  In fact, quite the opposite. That said, the Court has set precedence and our legal team is confident we will prevail.

At this critical juncture funding is vital.  We need your help once again.  This is truly a battle between good and evil and we need your help to win.  We must regain control of this state and your donations are the life blood of this movement.

Please visit and donate today.  Not one of us can afford to sit this one out.

There is a lot of work to be done and not enough words to thank you for your commitment, dedication, and hard work, but we THANK YOU and praise the lord for your help!  Success is within reach and our future is in your hands.
