Kelly from Los Angeles County

I have many generations of Californians behind me in my family. My Grandmother on my mothers side was from Italy and settled in Los Angeles in the 1800’s outside of Alvera Street in the Italian section of town where they were farmers. She always said, that California’s weather was just like Italy.  She was baptized in the “original” Catholic Church on Alvera Street. On my fathers side my grandmother was from Nebraska. She and her husband relocated to Los Angeles in the 1930’s. Her husband was from Canada. They started a Ice Skating Troop called Icelandia which their children skated in, among others and eventually my mother. My grandfather said California is the land of Milk and Honey where you can own a business, raise a family and be free to live a good life! I ask, WHAT HAPPEN TO THAT? My father later in life tried to recapture that life by becoming a farmer in Chico California with his family. Then big companies (DOLE) moved in on the small farmers and tried to buy them out. My father stood strong with other small farmers in the area, and kept their farms to this day! They still remain private farms. Eventually they retired to Paradise, CA ( Both my parents properties were burnt to the ground along with my childhood memories of a wonderful small town experience with my family).  My Sister remains in Chico CA, and has worked for Enloe Hospital for over 25 years. Our family has a long history in California and has seen many changes some good some bad. But we keep searching for that old California!

I went to school in San Francisco in 1976. What a wonderful city it was, and great memories. Today, I won’t step foot there (nothing but filth and deprivation, Hunger Games) due to Gavin Newsom’s and Nancy Pelosi corporate greed and mismanagement of state funds. Not to say that Gerry Brown was a prize! I don’t like that these people think they are untouchable and can do what ever they like in the name of the people. Believe ME when I say, “WE ARE GOING TO REACH OUT AND TOUCH YOU)! I know that my vote counts! We need a change in office, along with someone that loves our state.  Doesn’t look at our state as a piggy bank for personal gain! And actually thinks about the people that live here! Stop selling us out to other countries and corporate businesses. Stop putting small businesses out of business with your BS laws and rules that no one can live by and survive. Help the farmers and families! that this state was built with! California can no Longer Be The Land of Rape and Honey they turned us out For!!

I Live in Los Angeles County. Thank you for your consideration to Recall Gavin.

Angelo From San Francisco County

I lived in San Francisco when this disaster called Gavin Newsom became mayor. His policies have brought the once great city to it’s knees. Now San Francisco is no longer known for its sourdough bread, beautiful Coit tower, or magnificent Golden Gate park, but for rampant drug (not homeless) camps, open intravenous drug use, and feces strewn streets. He was a failed big city mayor, and now failure as Governor. I was able to move away from San Francisco, but know I must fight to remove him from the Governors chair if I want to remain in my state. He has already started to ruin this state with his ultra-leftest policies. He has used the pandemic to speed up his unwanted and illegal changes to the law. With the Legislature out he has single-handily, with executive order, made changes in the law which are protected by our Constitution.
As a owner of several apartment properties he has stripped many property rights away. I worked as a sole proprietor for many years. I saved my money and thought the apartments could provide for my retirement. I don’t have a 401K or a state pension. Many of my residents have lived in my properties for many years. I have seen their kids grow up and move on in life. But somehow according to Newsom and his extreme Leftest I’m a bad person. Therefore my property rights have to be taken from me. A property right IS part of the property. That’s the government TAKING from me and others like me. We did not get any compensation in return. The first excuse was that it would help with the homeless population. If that was true why do we have the most homeless in cities with the most restrictive apartment regulations? If we don’t have enough housing, why did he go to Guatemala on the first day as Governor to invite more illegals to the state? He is a destructive idiot. He is doing to the State of California what he did to San Francisco. He must be removed.
Now with the endless riots and looting this awful Governor stands with the rioters and looters! He does not care for the small business or property owners. He has “urged” the rioter and looters to continue so they can be “heard”. He is a disgrace to every hard-working, law-abiding person in California. This man must be removed for our future, and the future of our children!

I believe Governor Gavin Newsom should be recalled and tried for the crimes he is aiding through his willful support and enforcement of the CA zero bail policy. This is a most egregious assault on us as law abiding citizens and residents. Crime is running rampant without a check because law enforcement are bound by this order to arrest and then release with a mere citation. (Glendora Police Department) Criminal behavior is now bold and justice a mockery. In the name of safety he is releasing and refusing the addition of those who are guilty of crimes against society. (Numerous car theft, chases, home invasion attempts, people being attacked to have their personal belonging stolen right here in SCV) Our prisoners are even successfully intentionally contracting covid-19 with the hooes of being releases. (Pitchess Detention Center) And now, in the face of a state funds financial crisis, which existrd prior to covid-19 and has now exponentially grown, his decision is to release more prisoners. Meanwhile, through his statewide orders he would make criminals of those who would dare to enjoy the outdoor spaces, beaches, places of business and worship. Governor Gavin Newsom is the criminal who must be tried.

Who can we call on to take this case, check the Governor by law and hold him accountable for this criminal action?

Randy from Humboldt County

The governor of California ought to be recalled now. He seeks power control over the State of California. He wants to redistribute from hard earned income folks and give to those people who don’t work for a living. Governor does not appear to be helping all of the people in the state in a fair and equitable way.

Moneywise: please do not release the prisoners out to the free society. Stop the bullet train construction. Do not vote for the proposed state sponsored school bond. It probably would get redirected to something else not needed. Let the businesses open up to generate more revenue through the sales tax. The regular population base is very reasonable about following medical guidelines necessary to ward of the viruses. I think the business people are more realistic than our present governor.

The infection curve has flattened early on. Let us not rely on waiting for a vaccine to be produced. Just open up business

and provide to prospective clients. We don’t need a tyrannical governor to tell us what to do all the time.

Let us get outside and exercise our lungs for better health.

When compared to the number of daily fatalities occurring worldwide due to other causes, one might be surprised to find that the covid-19 has produced fewer daily deaths.

Let the people of California take back the state.

I believe in criminals doing their time, and especially repeat offenders. I have a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and am now retired…Step back for almost 30 years I busted my butt to catch juveniles that were not reporting to parole officer…I then worked with adults in Federal Prisons and serving time for murder, drugs, prostitution,,anyway…why would someone who claims to be best representing us let people out of prison….and stop the death penalty….

We also need to open our State back and get people back to earning a living for their own families. I don’t need someone like Sanders telling me what I can or really can’t do… Newsom is somebody’s puppet but not mine…

Andrew from Los Angeles County

I have been operating a sober living in the San Fernando Valley for 17 years. I have been part of the deputies out reach program, enjoy attorney client visits without appointment whenever I want to go to jail to interview a potential resident, and have supervised hundreds of people for the Department of parole and Department of probation.

Following all the guidelines set down by the state regarding Sober Living’s, we are required to have a written contract with each resident. We do not refer them as tenants because they are participating in a recovery environment and they are residents seeking help. They in the past have not enjoyed landlord tenant protection. At the advent of this fake emergency, the police, who had previously assisted in expelling someone Following all the guidelines set down by the state regarding Sober Living’s, we are required to have a written contract with each resident. We do not refer them as tenants because they are participating in a recovery environment and they are residents seeking help. They in the past have not enjoyed landlord tenant protections. At the advent of this fake emergency, the police, who helped previously assisted in expelling someone for rules violation 30 days earlier, now are telling me that I am a landlord and then I have to evict. The governor is not only telling me that I cannot evict anyone but I cannot even try to for a full year after he, who is not a medical expert and only uses the sources that support his agenda for advice, decides who can make money and who cannot. This is a totalitarian state. We are at war and we have no weapons. The results of his direct actions are making small landlords, sober living, assisted living and board care facilities at risk of losing everything. While they are at the same time paying 75% of hotel fees which are crazy to begin with, to put homeless people indoors, they are offering nothing to the private landlord who has one property and relies on that for his entire existence. That would be me. And others. Not just me but thousands in the San Fernando Valley alone. I’ve worked all my life to have the one property that I have now and prior to this it’s supported me in my life completely.

The PPP loan doesn’t apply to me because I’m a one-man operator. The mortgage for Barents, doesn’t apply to me because like 60% of the country, my mortgage was funded by a private equity firm and they are not required to follow any federal guidelines because they are not federally backed. Telling someone they don’t have to pay rent and they don’t have to show cause and not only that but they don’t have to pay rent for a full year after this emergency ends, is criminal. We have no recourse. The courts are closed. Criminals are allowed to literally kill people and not go to jail. Last night a woman ran over somebody and then fled the scene. She killed the pedestrian and fled the scene. That’s murder. They took her to jail fingerprinted her booked her and then released her. On what would’ve been $1 million bond she’s out drinking and driving again.

But the most insidious part is when they admit that they are jockeying the numbers that are being reported. Hospitals are incentivized to attribute every death to cover it. If someone is admitted to a hospital and it’s called covered, they get $13,000 just for treating. And I mean like the emergency room plus all those other fees that they ludicrously add anyway but that’s a $13,000 bump just for going to the hospital with a fever. Then, they get $39,000 if they put someone on a ventilator. The ventilators are killing people.

So we’ve set up a perfect storm of incentivizing a continued violation of our constitutional and property rights, a continual violation of tortuously interfering with existing contracts which is not only against California’s constitution but against federal law. And we have no court system to prosecute them through. And if we did, it would cost millions to go after the government which they’ve taken away from everybody by depriving us of work.
That’s all, we’re fucked. Have a nice day.

Maureen from Marin County

His hypocrisy. He is destroying the California economy and personal lives based on shaky science and a misuse of facts.

Angela From Riverside County

Gavin Newsom is infringing on my civil liberties. I cannot peaceably assemble or practice my religion. My family, and many others with it, are hurting financially due to the extended orders. I am not for this governor. Open up our state and let us restore it without hindering us even more!

Randi from Los Angeles County

My reasons for wanting to recall him are as follows:

1. His trampling of our first amendment rights to come together in worship.

2. His trampling on our second amendment rights to keep and bare arms.

3. His keeping California businesses closed indefinitely, which is hurting my daughter’s ability to work while he continues to earn a paycheck.

4. His insistence that this is about safety when it’s really political

5. His running over the constitution, just like he did when he was mayor of San Francisco and overturned an amendment to the constitution of California.

It’s time for him to go!

Jean from Orange County

Abuse of power

Limiting reopening of many businesses while allowing businesses owned by campaign contributors to reopen

Abusive treatment of Orange County

Lies

Horrible financial decisions bankrupting the state and local jurisdictions

Mask purchase order

Stay at home order is politically motivated, not for our safety

State workers base compensation is above market and their benefits are based on that excessive compensation. Their pensions are way out of line. Originally government employee current pay was below market and their pensions filled the gap. Now their payroll is above market and their pensions grew at the same rate as their compensation increases. This is a very inefficient workforce that is grossly overpaid.
