The official recall RecallGavin2020.com campaign against California Governor Gavin Newsom has now collected 911.000 signatures thus reaching the 60% milestone to remove the controversial leader of the most populous state in America.

The total was reached on Monday, December 28^th.

A total of 1,495,709 valid signatures are needed to force a Special election under California election code.

Official organizers are thrilled by the overwhelming momentum of the people-to-people campaign.

” More than 111,000 signatures have pilled in from all sections of California in the past two weeks, and our grassroots movement is changing the direction of Newsom’s failed policies,’ said Orrin Heatlie, lead proponent of the official RecallGavin2020.com team.

“While Californians were ordered to stay home during the holidays by Governor Newsom, the People have responded overwhelmingly to our recall campaign by signing the petition from the comfort of their own homes. This is a revolution,” said Senior Advisor of the RecallGavin2020.com Randy Economy.

“Now we need to continue to work as hard as possible to make sure that Newsom faces the People,” said RecallGavin2020.com co-proponent Mike Netter.

“The list is long on why people want this Governor out of office, and the people are responding in droves to this campaign,” said Heatlie.

The official recall effort against California Governor Gavin Newsom reached a major milestone on Thursday (Dec 10, 2020) when they were notified by California Secretary of State Alex Padilla that they have collected and met the 10 percent threshold of signatures requirement per state election code.

This now mandates that registrar recorder officials in every county in California must begin hand verifying every petition that has been collected.

The campaign is also announcing that they have also collected more than 800,000 signatures that have or are in the process of being hand delivered to county election officials throughout California.

1.5 million verified signatures are required to trigger a special election to recall Newsom.

In an email from Robbie Anderson with the Secretary of State’s office in Sacramento to Orrin Heatlie, the Lead Proponent of RecallGavin2020:

“I thought you would like to know that the 10% threshold has been met by you and your team, so counties are now required to verify the signatures,” Anderson wrote.

Heatlie issued the following statement regarding the milestone:

“Today our efforts to Recall California Governor Gavin Newsom have entered a dramatic new phase, and we cannot be prouder of everyone who is working tirelessly to remove America’s worst governor from office,” Heatlie said.

“The campaign is full speed ahead. To date, our amazing team of volunteers have gathered about 800,000 signatures from California voters throughout the state. That is an incredible feat, given the pandemic shutdowns, the wildfires, searing summer heat, riots, and horrible smoke,” Randy Economy, Senior Advisor for RecallGavin2020.com said in a statement.

“This is the greatest grassroots movement in the history of America, and the People will be heard in 2021,” added proponent Mike Netter. “We are taking back our state,’ he added.

The campaign is full speed ahead! To date, our amazing team of volunteers have gathered about 800,000 signatures from California voters throughout the state. That’s an incredible feat, given the pandemic shut downs, the wild fires, searing summer heat, riots and horrible smoke. We are thankful to have been granted an extension to March 17, 2021, This is basically a fresh start with over half the signatures already gathered. Together, with your help, we can put an end to the grip Newsom has on our state, stop the madness and secure a future we can all live with.

Critical Update November, 06

The news you have all been waiting for, Did we get the extension? The answer is YES we did. The Judge made a preliminary ruling and the SOS has confirmed it is not requesting an oral argument. The hearing for 11:00 has been cancelled. In short the RecallGavin2020 campaign has officially been granted an extension to continue to gather signatures and the new deadline for you to submit signed petition forms to the campaign is March 10, 2021. The deadline for the campaign to submit those forms to the registrar is March 17, 2021. That’s 120 additional days folks.

In the first 160 days we’ve gathered nearly half of what was needed to trigger a special election to Recall Gavin Newsom. Now, with the extension we have 120 more days to reach our goal.

While we declare victory in this battle, we have not won the war and there is much work that needs to be done.

This movement depends on your help to gather signatures, and your donations to help fund the fight.

The RecallGavin2020 legal team, (the Benbrook Law Firm) has filed for an extension to continue gathering signatures. The hearing date is Nov. 6^th at 11:00 a.m. This hearing is public and will be broadcast on the following link:

Since its conception, the RecallGavin2020 team has been working hard to do everything in our power to help you make this recall a success. As you may know, this is a monumental and historical movement. This is the largest petition drive ever attempted in the United States history. It was timed to take advantage of the warm summer months, festivals, carnivals, county fairs, 4^th of July events, concerts in the park and other gatherings where people come together in mass. What happened next? Governor Gavin Newsom shut down California and closed us out. We can’t even sing in church and now he wants to limit our family gatherings.

People are suffering. The shutdown has taken a toll on the entire population. People have been afraid to interact with one another. Californians are struggling. Signing a petition and making a donation to a political cause has not been top priority on their list.

STILL, the RecallGavin2020 volunteer army has done an amazing job. Without the help of contract circulators, they have managed to gather a third of the petitions necessary to qualify for a special election. The people engaged in this recall are a force to be reckoned with.

We all know a lot hinges on this hearing. We simply need more time. Earlier this year the courts granted extensions to other initiatives circulating petitions and the attorney general posed no objection. In fact, quite the opposite. That said, the Court has set precedence and our legal team is confident we will prevail.

Statewide Recall efforts have grown considerably. Signature counts continue to break internal records daily and more mail keeps pouring into our mail room. Due to the amount of mail we are receiving, we have opened a second mailroom to handle the additional volume.

Take Note, the secretary of state website does not reflect the number of signatures we have received. This is because all petitions are currently being sent to a third party vendor for validation and safe keeping. Although we are making great strides, the game is not over. We need everybody who is willing and able to help us gather more signatures, time is ticking. please SIGN, CIRCULATE AND DONATE:

We are working towards our objective of 2 million signatures and we are getting closer to our goal!
We’ve hired a third-party vendor to verify signatures and hold the signed petitions for safe keeping in light of many registrar’s offices being closed to the public; some are not even accepting signed petitions, except by mail. This is not acceptable, and we are working on a solution. We will not be making the regularly scheduled signed petition deliveries with the registrar until this is resolved. We will be updating our preliminary count once the professionals have completed the process.
The volunteer coalition has grown from 50,000 members at the start of this recall in June to over 105,000 volunteer members today. If each of those members were to gather just 20 signatures, this recall will qualify for a special election to be held.

Only petitions that are printed and have original signatures in ink are accepted by the California Secretary of State, and the ONLY valid petitions are right here.

Key points:

Anybody can circulate this petition. It is as easy as A. B. C.
A. Download and print the petition,
If printing the larger form, (DOUBLE CHECK MARGINS FOR CORRECT PAPER SIZE) be aware you may have to adjust printer settings when printing the larger forms. Top margin should be just over an inch, the right and left margins should be just over ½ an inch. The boxes to the right of the signature lines should be an inch wide on the inside.
B. Circulate the petition and fill out the declaration.
